Don’t Do This   Leave a comment

We fellas often make the mistake of thinking that females find seeing a nude male as sexually stimulating as we find seeing a nude woman. This is not so.

Even worse, for a woman to see an otherwise nude man wearing only his socks is the biggest turn off of all.

If you forget all the other rules, remember this one. Don’t do it.

Happy love-making

We all know that a blocked up or stuffy nose can be cleared by┬áhaving sex, but it’s now a fact, backed up in yesterday’s press by Professor Merlin Thomas of Monash University. He’s the author of The Longevity List – he says: ‘Changes to blood flow during sex, and particularly after orgasm, can unblock the nose and make it easier to fall asleep.’

No falling asleep on the job now!

Happy love-making.

Feeling old and wrinkly?   Leave a comment

Researchers at the Royal Edinburgh Hospital tell us that regular sex can prevent lines and wrinkles.
People in their forties who had sex two or three times a week were judged to look seven to thirteen years younger – probably down to DHEA, a hormone released during sex that can increase collagen production.
You heard it here; stay young and beautiful; no excuses now!

Worry-Free Orgasms   Leave a comment

Here’s some good news – women do not need to be totally relaxed to enjoy sex.

You don’t need to ‘switch off’ from life to achieve orgasm. The latest study, by Dr Nan Wise, a US neuroscientist, involved ten women experiencing orgasm while their brain activity was followed by MRI scanner. They observed that brain activity in regions responsible for movement, senses, memory and emotions, all gradually increased during the lead-up to orgasm, when activity then peaked and lowered again.

The latest study discovered that the female orgasm is truly ‘mind-blowing’, as it activates the same part of the brain involved in ‘out-of-body experiences.’

Dr Wise, whose research is published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine, said of the findings: ‘We found no evidence of deactivation of brain regions during orgasm,’ and went on to say ‘This suggests that the brain does not need to be switched off for a woman to experience orgasm.’

She also said: ‘I don’t believe women have to be worry-free at the time, they just need to focus on the sensation of what is happening. Then this will essentially take over as what they are focusing on.’

Here’s the technical bit: The study, reported in New Scientist magazine, also found a part of the brain, called the dorsal raphe nucleus, becomes more active during orgasm. This is involved with releasing serotonin, which can dampen pain, explaining why women may be less likely to notice being in pain during climax.

Dr Wise said: ‘When you think of it, an out-of-body experience is a state of altered consciousness. And you also get to a point in orgasm where you are taken completely out of yourself.’

So no worries! Just enjoy your love-making.

Want to get pregnant?   Leave a comment

Research shows that lying on your back after sex won’t increase a woman’s chances of conceiving.

In a study last year by VU University Medical Centre, Amsterdam, women having artificial insemination were told to stay in bed for 15 minutes, or get up immediately – the latter became pregnant more easily!

The researchers said there was no reason to stay in bed for longer than it takes to ‘get your breath back.’

Best Part of Sex   Leave a comment

Reported this week by the journal PLOS One, is that most people think the best part of sex is the kisses and cuddles, not the act itself.

Researchers in the US asked nearly 2,000 people their thoughts on nearly 50 sexual behaviors and found affectionate and romantic behavior appealed to both men and women.
